The former derelict factory site was previously home to a steel stockholder which caused numerous conflicts with local residents. JG skilfully negotiated with the Local Authority and entered into direct dialogue with the local community to turn this site into an imaginative scheme of new houses, apartments and affordable housing.
This was successfully achieved despite the Local Authority’s initial insistence that the land be retained for industrial use. By altering the surrounding road layout, JG also addressed local concerns about traffic and road use.
